HUSTLER FROM NEW YORK

'I here is something very refreshing about Mr. Georgo Dilnot's American detective, Horace Augustus Elver. Of course, he has many advantages over his colleagues. In "The Great Mail [ Racket," representing tho Elver Detective Agency of New York, ho journeys to England and "ties up" with Scotland Yard whose officers are also busy trailing the gang which robs tho mad-rooms of liners. His known ability secures for Horace Elver all the facilities at the command of a C.I.D. man, while not being one of them; ho is not restricted by regulations. Ho adopts original and daring methods but is a likeable fellow in spite of his colossal "cheek." tW 'The Great Mail Racket." by Georgo Dilnot. (Geoffrey Bles.)
