BARONET'S DEBTS

REAL HARD LUCK STORY At a meeting of his creditors, Sir Henry Palmer Temple Blackwood, of London, told the Official Receiver he borrowed money from the petitioning creditor to pay his income tax. Mr. C. T. Newman, Assistant Official Receiver, stated Sir Henry had lodged a statement of his affairs showing liabilities £056, and no assets of any description. He had stated that he was previously adjudged bankrupt in March, 15)30, but obtained a discharge subject to payment of a judgment of £SO. Sir Henry was afterwards employed as area salesman, representing a wellknown motor company, and ho considered that after 1933 his salary averaged £7OO a year. Last February, owing to illness, ho was compelled to relinquish his post, and he had since been without remunerative employment until recently, when he obtained a temporary post os salesman to a garago. Sir Henry's affairs were left in the hands of the Official Receiver.
