MATAMATA CLUB'S YEAR [IIY TIXKfiRAI'H —OWN COItItIvSI'ONDI'.NT] MATAMATA, Friday A successful year, in spile of adverse conditions, was reported at the annual meeting of the Matamata Swimming Club last night. Owing to inclement weather only one carnival was held, and this had not been a financial success. The club had been successful, however in its other activities. Mr. A. House won the Reid Cup for the most points won on club nights. Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:- Patron, Mr. 11. Sutherland, sen.; president, Mr. A. Andrew; secretary, Mr. C. R. Houghton; treasurer, Mr. N. C. Maddox; auditor, Mr. L. Sutcliffe; ladies' captain, Mrs. C. Rowc; men's captain, Mr. N. C. Maddox; vice-captain, Mr. A. Rouse; handicappers, Messrs. C. D.
