BRIDGE EVENING

[from our own correspondent] HAMILTON. Friday Organised by the Fairfield Women's Institute, a successful bridge party was held in the Centroway Lounge, Hamil ton, last evening. Bowls of spring blossom and Iceland poppies were used for decoration. The hostesses were. — Mrs. G. W Lovett, who wore a gown of black Venetian lace and matching coatee in chiffon velvet; Mrs. J. R. McKinnon, in cardinal red lace and black velvet coatee; Mrs. W. Graney, midnight blue georgette and mulberry chiHon velvet coatee The president of the association, Mrs. F. Knight, was m black georgette and a black chiffon velvet coatee. The prizes were won as follows. — Highest score, Mrs. L. Monteith and Mr F. 0. Knight; hidden number, Mrs. L. Ash worth; five-hundred, Miss E. Davies and Mr. J. Davios (highest scores); Mrs. W. Fenson (lucky number) . Among those present wero:. —Mrs. W. King, Mrs. A. J. Denz, Mrs. L. Monteith, Mrs. T.
