CHRISTIAN SCIENCE

LECTURES IN AUCKLAND For tho purpose of giving a series of lectures on Christian Science in New Zealand, Mr. Paul Stark Seeley, a member of the Board of Lectureship of the Mother Church in Boston, will arrive in Auckland by the Mariposa from Sydney on Saturday, October 17, and on the following afternoon will give his first lecture in the Tivoli Theatre, Karangahape Road. He will give a second lecture on the following evening and then leave for the south. Mr. Seeley graduated in law at Harvard University, Massachusetts, having become a student there after four years at Princeton University. Later he was associated with an Eastern engineering group in the development of power and irrigation works on the Pacific Coast of America. While living in Portland, Oregon, lie filled the office of First Reader of First Church and was identified with the work of committee on publication. In 1016 he was appointed to the Board of Lectureship, and for almost twenty years be has lectured in ninny parts of tho world. As one who has always been interested in the study of law, Mr. Seeley has endeavoured to work out the deeper spiritual meaning of law and for this reason it is of special interest that the subject of his first address in Auckland will be, "Christian Science: The Law of God."
