ASSAULT CHARGE FAILS
ALLEGATION AGAINST MINER i [BY TELEGRAPH —OWN CORRESPONDENT] PAEROA, Friday At the Paeroa Police Court to-day, before Justices, a injner, Joseph Gladstone Patrick Meagher, was charged with assaulting a girl under three years of age. Mr. Cardcn appeared for accused, who entered a plea of not guilty and elected to be dealt sum- j marilv. After hearing evidence, tho presiding Justices dismissed the charge.
