■*> HOTEL ROBBERY RECALLED [BY TKr-KOItAI'H—OWN CORRKSI'ONDKNT] ROTORUA, Friday It is understood that a sum of money, stated to have been part of the proceeds of tho safe burglary which occurred at the Waiotapu Hotel earlier in the year and which had not been accounted for, was recently recovered. The money was hidden in several tins which had been secreted in a small cave in the vicinity of Kawaha Point. Two men were arrested in connection with the burglary and were sentenced to terms of reformative detention, but, although some of the money and jewellery which was taken from the sale was recovered, a sum of about £4O in cash was not accounted for. The money is to be returned to tho licensee of the hotel.
