CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S FUND £l5O FROM RUGBY MATCH "The co-operntion of the members of the police force in this campaign is much appreciated and I am sure the donation you have mado will be of material benefit to the fund," said the Major, Mr. Ernest Davis, yesterday, when Superintendent S. Till called on him at the Town Hall, and on behalf of the members of the Auckland Police Force handed him £l5O as a donation to the Mayor of Auckland's Fund for Crippled Children. The money represented the proceeds of the recent Rugby match held at Eden Park between the Auckland and Wellington police teams. The match had been a great success, said Mr. Till, and it was hoped further fixtures of this nature would bo held. Mr. Davis said lie would refer the gift to the committee of the fund and ho was sure the members would show their appreciation of what the police had done.
