WEDDING IN LONDON

[from our own correspondent] LONDON, Sept. F> The marriage took, place, at St. Stephen's Church, Hampstcad, on Sept-ember 5, of Miss Jean Florence Mellvride, daughter of Mrs. F. 10. McGregor, Scdgebrook, Wanganui, to Mr. Alan Williams-Mitchell, of London. Miss Mellvride was in New Zealand for 10 years, seven of which were spent at Wanganui. The bride wore silver and white lame, with a train, and a veil of old Brussels lace, lent by Mrs. Goodes (Sydney), caught with an orange blossom halo. She was given away by Mr. F. W. Mitchell. Miss Doreen Spaight was bridesmaid, and Mr. John Martin ITusoti, formerly of Te Puke, Hay of Plenty, was best man. The bridesmaid wore jade green and silver floral ninon and a silver leaf head-wreath, and carried a .Victorian posy of delphiniums and carnations. Tho bride's bouquet was of madonna lilies. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell's future home will bo in London, where Mr. Mitchell is engaged in journalism.
