CHILDREN'S PARTY

TATUANUI FUNCTION Children of the Tatuanui district had a happy time recently when tho longawaited fancy dress dance, arranged by the committee and stall of the Tatuanui School filled tho local hall with a gay throng of young people in fancy costumes. A large number of older people was also present. As it was many years since a similar function had taken placo in the district, tho occasion was thoroughly enjoyed. Music for tho children's dances was played by Miss Barron and dance music was provided by Mesdames S. Elliott, J. Crawford, It. Haycock, Misses Eraser, Dnrrall and Barron. The chairman of the committee, Mr. D. McL. Burnett expressed thanks to all who had assisted, and announced that the school funds had benefited to tho extent of £8 by tho function.

Winners pf competitions were Mr. R. Vaudrey, Mr. Peterson, Mr. Towes, Mrs. Hillary and Mr. Larsen.
