THE FRENCH LANGUAGE
Sir, —With reference to the penultimate sentence of my letter published on September 25, 1 wish to make it clear that I was not deprecating the work of the present teachers of l'rench in our colleges, universities, private classes, etc. i should have been more explicit in advocating that for those who have ended their college and university studies, there should be lecturers available to enable them to continue their study of the language and the nation, and these lecturers could bo brought from France either by the French Clubs, the university senates, or similar bodies. Lk Pats Basque.
