WORK OF DEPARTMENT MANY CASES DEALT WITH Many applications! to increase: rentals of house property or for advice concerning increases are being made under the Fair Rents Act to the Labour Department. So numerous; are they that for some time an inspector of factories has been exclusively engaged in interviewing tenants and landlords, making investigations, and in arranging agreements. In comparatively few instances has it been necessary l:or cases to go before a magistrate for the assessment of rentals.
