The insurgents, however, are making their most desperate effort between Santa Olalla and Torrijos, 50 miles south-west of Madrid. Following upon earlier rebel successes in that sector, the War Office in Madrid announced la.te to-night that the insurgents bad been repulsed with heavy losses including the destruction of a Moroccan detachment.
