FEW MISHAPS IN DOMINION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday The small number of railway accidents in New Zealand was commented on by Mr. C. J. B. Norwood, president of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, during a discussion at a meeting of the chamber on a reply by Mr. G. H. Mackley, general manager of railways, to the chamber's statements on steel carriages. Mr. Norwood said that notwithstanding the mountainous state of Now Zealand and the narrow gauge, accidents were relatively low, showing that'engineering guidance had been of a high quality.
