SURGEON'S TWO OPERATIONS STEADINESS OF THE VESSEL LONDON, Sept. M The ship's surgeon on board the Queen Mary operated for appendicitis on both the outward and homeward journeys of the liner on her latest voyage. The operations were carried out while the liner was speeding at 29 knots and the ship was so steady that it was not necessary to slacken speed.
