NIGHTWATCIIMAN HURT
ACCIDENT AT WESTFIELD Breaking his thigh whon he fell down n flight of stairs at the works of R. and W. Hellabv, Limited, at Westfield, about four o'clock yesterday morning, a nightwatchmnn, Mr. Birkett Germann, aged 48, married, of 23 Hardington Street, Onehunga, had to smash a window with a torch to attract attention. The noise was heard by an engineer on duty at the works and lie arranged for Mr. Gcrmann's- removal to tho Auckland Hospital in a St. John ambulance.
