TERM OF IMPRISONMENT " This man has been telling ' cock-and-bull ' stories and has given us no assistance in recovering the tyres," said Detective-Sergeant McHugh when .Tames Baldwin, labourer, aged 41, appeared in the Police Court yesterday for sentence on two charges of obtaining tyres valued at £l2 9s and £ll 8s by falso pretences. On one charge accused was sentenced to three months' imprisonment, to be cumulative with a sentence he is at present serving, and on the other he was convicted and discharged.
