Amar Nath, who is a brilliant batsman and a fine spin bowler, was repatriated on June 20 as a disciplinary measure. In the match against the Minor Counties, Amar Nath considered that he had been treated unfairly when he was sent, in to bat seventh man instead of fourth or fifth. Apparently, he had made certain remarks to his fellow-players against the manager, although he said nothing against the captain. According to the player's statement he had probably been blamed for letters to India complaining about the method of running the team.
