SPRING FLOWER SHOW In spite of the very boisterous weather the spring flower show, recently held in the Royal Theatre, was a great success. The decorative work both in the open and junior sections was of a very high standard. A display of bulbs from Maungatoroto added a great attraction to the show. Among those who helped were:— Mrs. B. G. Smith (secretary), Mrs. W. Fitness, Mrs. H. Johnson, Mrs. T. Phillips, Mrs. H. Rix, Mrs. G. Monteith, Mrs. A. Edmonds, Mrs. L. Hilton, Mrs. J. Hayes, Miss B. Phillips (stewards), Mrs. Pryce, Mrs. G. Downey, Mrs. A. Crabb, Mrs. Harvey, Mrs. Bryden, Mrs. Pickard, Mrs. Wigg, Mrs. A. Cook, Mrs. J. Pollock, Mrs. S. Miles, Mrs. F. Stopher, Miss Hilliam, Miss P. Todd, Miss N. Cochrane and Miss Webster (stallholders). A very jolly party was held at the residence of Mrs. T. Phillips, Mangawhare, for Miss Betty Phillips, who is at present visiting Dargaville. Novelty games and dancing added to the merriment of the evening. Among those present were:—Miss Phillips, Miss M. Cuthbert, Miss M. Barnard, Miss r. Hogan, Miss J. Fitness, Miss B. Mitchell, Miss J. Crump, Miss A. Cline, Miss J. Bradley. , . Mrs. W. 11. Worsley, of Victoria Street, has been visiting relatives in Auckland. . Miss E. Hammond, of Kaitaia, who has been the guest of Mrs. A. E. Harding. Aoroa, has returned home. Miss Price, of Warkworth, is at present staying with Miss Drummond, Hokianga Road. Mrs. Russell Cook, of Islington Street, is visiting Auckland. ■ Mrs. F. S. Goulding and family have returned from Bayley's Gorge. Mrs. A. T. Brady, who has been visiting Thames, returued to Dargaville on Thursday. , Mrs. F. Dargaville and family have been staving at Bayley's Gorge. Mrs. W. J. Beck, of Hoanga, who has been in Auckland for somo weeks, returned home last week. Miss F. Stewart, of Puhoi, is at present visiting Mrs. A. E. Harding, Aoroa. Mrs. A. Walters, who has been staying at Bayley's Gorge, has returned to Ruawai. . . Miss V. Davidson, who has been visiting Waihi, has returned to Dargaville. Mrs. A. K. Gray, of Wellington, has been visiting Dargaville. Miss Nicholls, who has been spending a holidav in Auckland, has returned to Dargaville.
