The Silver Lady
A beautiful lady passed last night, In a trailing, silvery gown. She peeped in as I was lying in bed I think she was going to town.
Over the trees with their leafy tops, And over the misty hill, In a silver silence she went by; Tho little winds all were still.
I have not drawn my curtains to-night; I have polished eacli window pane; Perhaps, 0, perhaps that lady bright Will come and peep in again.
