" A COSTER NIGHT" " A Coster Night " was tho name given to the fortnightly revel of tho Athenian Club on Saturday, when Mr. and Mrs. I). Stern were host and hostess. The curtain rose to the strains of a barrel organ, around which the costermongers were dancing, while numerous stalls and side-shows were also to bo seen. Mr. Alan McElwain was tho " chief coster " and provided some very humorous moments, while " pearlies " tor the ladies in the form of necklaces and clay pipes for the men, as well as other appropriate novelties, added to tho coster atmosphere and made the occasion both enjoyable and novel. Tho programme was contributed to by Mr. V. Mulgan, Mr. Alan McElwain, The Dorian Four and Mr. Robbins, the last-named, leading community singing. Among thoso present were: —Mrs. A. Roberts, Mrs. L.
