MOUNT ALBERT CANDIDATE In response to strong representations, Mr. H. A. Anderson, deputy-Mayor of Mount Albert, has consented to accept nomination for the vacancy on the Auckland Transport Board caused by tho retirement of Mr. R. E. Ferner, who was recently appointed a magistrate. The seat on the board to be contested by Mr. Anderson represents the boroughs of Mount Eden, Mount Albert and Newmarket. Mr. Anderson is also a candidate for the Mayoralty of Mount Albert, from which Mr. Ferner has resigned. Both elections are to be contested' by Labour representatives.
