PRESENTATION

A presentation was made in the science department of Auckland University College yesterday to Mr. G. T. S. Bay I is, holder of the New Zealand University post-graduate scholarship in science, who will leave Wellington by llie Makura on Tuesday for England to continue his studies in botany at the University of London. Mr. T. L. Lancaster, on behalf of tho staff and students of the science department, paid a warm tribute to Mr. Baylis as a man and scholar. Mr. Baylis, who gained tho degree of M.Sc. last year, is an old boy of the Takapuna Grammar School.
