RELIEF ADMINISTRATION
Sir, —There arc many unemployed in Auckland who are beginning to wonder whether we are better or worse oil under the Labour Government. Under the old Government we did get a pair of boots and a pair of blankets (good quality, too), in addition to a bonus. Certainly there is an increase in pay, but the increase in the cost of living has robbed us of the good. Labour candidates at the last election said that the W.B. forms and the probing inspector would go. What is the result? The position, to niv mind, is more intensified. Many of us have been Labour for years and are heartily sick of reading about " scroungers," " agitators, " running shoes," and of the L i>p •' operas " in the House. We are now wanting results, and if they are not soon forthcoming then the Labour politicians of to-day will certainly be the unemployed of to-morrow. Costless Credit.
