WEDDING

CUNNINGHAM-COURT A picturesque wedding of interest to a wide circle of friends was celebrated nt St. Mark's Church, Heinuera, last evening, when Miss Mollie Court, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. F. Court, Orakei Road, Renmera, was married to Mr. Richard Erie Cunningham, elder son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Cunningham, of Stanley Uav, Auckland. The Rev. J. Beaufort officiated and Mr. A. Pascoc played the wedding music. The bride, who entered the church with her father, wore a beautiful gown of parchment toned crepe cloque threaded with silver. Fashioned on slender-fitting lines, the corsage of the gown had long tightfitting sleeves and a sottly gauged bodice finished at the neckline with a Medici collar. At the knees the skirt flared from a closely gauged panel into a long oval train, over which fell a billowy veil of parchment tulle arranged with a Juliet cap of pearls and tiny orange blossom buds. She carried a crescent bouquet of orchids and pearl azaleas. In attendance as bridesmaids were Miss Barbara Court (chief), Miss Margaret liargreaves, Miss Constance Cunningham and Miss Dorothy Lewisham, while Yvonne Court acted as flower-girl. The bridesmaids were dressed alike in charming frocks of cameo pink crepe cloque spotted in silver. The bodices were fashioned with Medici collars and long open sleeves lined with silver lame, while the skirts fell from a pleated panel into long oval trains. Plaits of silver encircled the waistlines. They wore halo bats of silver lame lined with pink georgette and carried sheaves of pink carnations, roses and maiden-hair fern. The little flower-girl was in an ankle-length frock of pink tulle with ruffled neckline and sleeves. She wore a Juliet cap of pink flowers mounted on tulle and carried a posv of sweet peas. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Stanley Cunningham as best man anil by Mr. Murray Court as groomsman. Acting as ushers were Messrs. Arthur Morpeth, Douglas Somerville, Arthur Churton, L. McLaren Smith and Mervyn Mair. Girl friends of the bride had decorated the church with a festooned archway of white arum lilies and fern, while at the pew ends were posies of white flowers tied with ivory satin ribbons. During the service the hymn of the Hill-Top School, of which the bride was a former pupil, was sung by the guests. On leaving the church the bride and bridegroom passed through a picturesque guard of honour formed by '2O of the pupils of the school, each girl holding a torch which lit the way to the bridal car. Following the ceremony a largelyattended reception was held at George Court's tearooms, where the tables were charmingly arranged with pink carnations and roses and crystal baskets of violets, stock and cyclamen. To receive her guests, Mrs. Court wore a graceful frock of ciel blue lame relieved with cherry velvet under a kolinsky fur cape and a blue georgette and tulle hat. She carried a bouquet of cherry-toned flowers. Mrs. Cunningham, the mother of the bridegroom, was in a frock of parma violet velvet and lace and a hat to tone. Her bouquet was of primroses in cyclamen tonings. Mrs. A. Joll, grandmother of the bride, wore a black crepe faille frock and a black hat; Mrs. George Court, sen., grandmother of the bride, black craquelle frock and a black hat; and Miss Marjorie Cunningham, midnight blue taffetas and a blue hat.

The bride travelled in an ensoul bio of marine blue satin-backed crepe, with sable furs and a navy blue hat.
