AUSTRALIA AND DOMINION BETTER TIMES EXPERIENCED Eegret that a formula had not yet been found whereby New Zealand and Australia could develop closer trade relations was expressed by Mr. F. W. Mothes, managing-director of the Goldberg Advertising Agency, Limited, who arrived from S3'dney by the Niagara yesterday on a short visit to the Dominion. He is acting in the place of Mr. Frank Goldberg in Australia during the iatter's absence abroad. "I realise it is a difficult thing for two primary producing countries to find a substantial volume of commodities to be used for inter-trade, but I hope that some arrangement can be made whereby that will be possible," said Mr. Mothes. Mr. Mothes said Australia generally seemed to bo enjoying a period of increasing confidence in all sections of business. Factories were busy, with plenty of orders, and unemployment had reached approximately the prewar level. Wheat prices were the highest sinco 1929, while beneficial rains had fallen in the country districts of Victoria and ISew South Wales, and farmers were looking torward 'to a successful season.
