SHORTER WORKING WEEK
GARAGE ATTENDANTS' HOURS LIMIT OF 44 OVER SIX DAYS [by tkm:c;RAPIT —press association] WELLINGTON, Monday It was announced in the Arbitration Court to-day that garage attendants should work a 44-hour six-day week. The union's application for a 40-hour week was consequently withdrawn. The employers' application for an extension of the hours of motor mechanics to 44 weekly was heard and decision reserved.
