PETITION TO KING

BRITISH WOMEN'S REQUEST INDEPENDENT NATIONALITY LONDON, July 17 Containing I'OOO signatures of women in Britain, the Dominions, Bermuda and Ceylon, a petition which was organised by the Women's Freedom League is to be presented to the King through the Home Office to-morrow. The petition begs His Majesty to ask his respective Governments to adapt uniform legislation giving married women independent nationality in their own persons similar to men and single women.
