NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE KATES. Notice is hereby given that the Glen Eden Town Board, in pursuance or Jhe i.owers conferred by " The Town lioards Act, "The Municipal Corporations Act, 19;\3," "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions Act. 1920," and the respective Amendments thereof, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, intends on WEDNESDAY, the 20th day of July, 11)30, to niako and levy the foil wing llates for the year commencing u:i Ist day of April, 1930, and ending on 31st day of March, 1937, viz.:— A Consolidated Kate of elevenpence (lid) in the £ on the Unimproved Value of all Rateable Properties appearing in the Valuation Roll for the Glen Eden Town District, such Rate including a General Rate of 4d in the ,C, a Hospital and Charitable Aid Rate of id in the £ and Special Hates of Gd in the C. WATER RATES. In respect of the Ordinary Supply, as defined in the Hoards By-laws No. S of 1931 and No. 10 of 15.23.—1. Where water is supplied by meter, the sum of two shillings per 1000 gallons, with a uniform minimum charge of ten shillings per half-year, and a charge of three shillings and ninep-jnee per half-year for water meter it supplied by the Board for the half-year ending September 30, 1930, and March 31, 1937, payable in two iiistalmeuts on October 1, 193(i, and April 1, 1937. 2. Where water is not supplied by meter: 1. Upon all Lands and Buildings to fhich water is supplied whose annual value as appearing in the Valuation Roll (calculated as provided by " The Rating Act, 1925"), (a) Does not exceed £l2 10s, a Rate of ten shillings. (b) Exceeds £l2 10s. a Rate of £2 per centum (2 p.c.) upon th? Annual Rateable Value, provided that in no case shall the minimum amount of such Rate be less than ten shillings. 2. Upon all Buildings other than Dwelling Houses, a Rate of one-half of the amo'int specified la the preceding clause. 3. A Non-consumers' Rate upon all Lands tind Buildings to which water can ho but is not, supplied, situate within one hundred yards of any part of the Waterwoiks, a Rate of one-quarter per centum (V, p.c.) on the Annual Rateable Value, with a minimum Rate of five shillings (os). REBATE OF RATES. In accordance with the provisions of Section (it of " The Rating Act, 1025," a Rebate of €2 ins per centum (2'i p.c.) will ho allowed to every Ratepayer on the amount of Current Rates payable by him if such Rates lire paid within thirty (30) days fron the due date thereof, subject to all arrears being paid. The said Rates and Charges, other than for water by meter and meter rent, to be payable in each case in one sum on AUGUST 1, 1930, and in all cases to ho paid at the Office of the Boird, Valley R.iad. Glen Eden, to 0. Richard Wilkinson, the Board's Collector, or to such other person as nviy ho frcm time to time appointed to collect the same. The Estimates upon which the above mentioned Rates have been struck, having been approved of by the Town Hoard, are, together with the Valuation Roll, open for inspection at the Office of the Board, Valley Bond, Glen Eden, during office hours or by ■arrangement with the Clerk at other suitable times.
