The preliminary professional bout, will he between Lance l'ailiter, of Auckland, who, will ho making his debut as a professional, and Sid. Wells, of Whakatane. Delaney comes from Australia with a fine reputation ns a boxer and fighter and is regarded as a coming star. These factors induced tho Auckland Boxing Association to hring him to New Zealand. Mudgway has been showing Rood form in the gymnasium, and ho is keen to beat the Australian, particularly as it will further his claims to another fight with Pluto. Both aro fit. and well and the contest promises plenty of thrills, which should also he seen in tho other professional bout. Painter has a long list of amateur successes to his credit, including tho winning of the Auckland and Now Zealand amateur heavy-weight championships. Wells also brings a reputation for hard fighting. An excellent amateur programme has also been arranged in support.
