AUCKLAND MINIATURE CLUB A Rood standard of shooting was witnessed at the Auckland Miniature Rifle Club's meeting, held at the (lubrooms, Ponsonb.v. The best scores registered were as follows (possible SO): —B. Crocker. 80, scr—Bo; R. T. Warnock, 70, scr—TO; C. E. Bush, 70, 1— 80; J. E. Kelly, 70, l—SO; J. Maney. 75, 2 —77; G. Scarrott, 75, 10—80; T. G. Sauvarin, 74, 1 —75; S. Catchpole. 73, 4 —77; F. Sauvarin, 73, 1 —74; R. Fellows, 72, 8 — 80; A. Gambling, 09, 2 —71; J. Scarrott, G7, 10—77; J. A. Cossgrove, 62, 10—72; R. Stanley, 58, 10—68. Tho president's badge was again won by B Crocker, with another possible. Tho Tisdall handicap button, a trophy awarded to the shooter with a handicap of two or more to register the best score, including his handicap, was won by R. Fellows, with a possible. The club's team hnß been successful in securing a 15 points' lead in the first round for tho Jack Harland Memorial Shield, which has bicn donated by tho Whangaroi Miniature Rifle Club for competition among cluhs in the, Auckland Province. Tho scores for tho first round are as follows: —Auckland, 75(3; AN hangarei No. 1, 741; Devonport, 737; Whangarei No. 2, 735; Paeroa, 735; Opotiki, 733.
WOODLANDS CLUB'S SHOOT [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI, Wednesday Tho weekly meeting of the Woodlands .Miniature Rifle Club was held in the Woodlands Hall last night. F. Armstrong and A. J. Wednesday A further round of the Hurgain Stores, Ltd., Cup was fired last evening by members of the \\hangarei Miniature lliiie Club. Tho winning team comprised M. K. Stewart, 06; L. Holmes, 05; and S. Withers, 04; total, 285. Tho semi-finnl of the M. K. Stewart trophy and the third round of tho W. Yarrow trophy were also firetl. The evening's trophy was won by F.
