BRIDGE AFTERNOON
A LARGE GATHERING
The second bridge afternoon arranged by the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was held yesterday at the Farmers' Trading Company's tearooms. The deputy-chairman, Mr H. R. Harper, spoke during the tea interval and, in thanking all those pre. sent, for supporting a truly worthy cause, ho also conveyed the thanks of the. executive of the society to the members of the ladies' committee who had worked so well toward the success of this and similar previous functions These ladies were:—Airs.
