TENNIS CLUB DANCE

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES The first annual dance and presentation of trophies of the Belmont Park Tennis Club was held in the Takapuna Boating Club Hall, Bayswater, on Saturday night. Large blue vases of wattle arranged on the stage introduced the club colours of blue and gold into the decorative scheme. The same colours were used in the supper room, where blue runners were placed on the tables, which were also arranged with yellow spring flowers. The guests were received by Mr. T. Dryland and Mrs. Dryland, who wore a frock of Chinese hi up figured crepe. The prizes which had been won during the season were presented by Mr. J. Mason. An exhibition of modern ballroon dancing was given by Miss Nonie Quincll and Mr. L S. Moodie.

The ladies' committee comprised:— .Mrs. L. L. Rabbidge, who wore a frock of phlox pink figured taffetas; Mrs. 0. Deacon, magnolia chiffon velvet and silver lame; Mrs. L. Ogilvy, black soiiple satin ; Miss M. Thomas, cameo pitiK taffetas. Among those present were: —Mrs. P. M. Hutchinson, who wore bottle green lace and georgette; Mrs. K. Steer, peach satin beaute; Mrs. J. Mason, black and white check taffetas; Mrs. John Letcher, white georgette; Mrs. Worsley, lemon taffetas and blue velvet coatee; Mrs. H. Kirkham, leaf green tinsel crepe: Mrs. A. Bennett, floral angelskin; Mrs. J. Dryland, black chiffon velvet; Miss Dorothy Lewis, white figured organdie; Miss Eraser, brown coin-spot taffetas; Miss Phyllis Gray, black ring velvet; Miss D. Dryland, pink floral crepe; Miss Peggy do Vere, pink floral taffetas; Miss Dolly Mahon, pale pink floral organdie; Miss Shirley Brown, pink shot taffetas; Miss T. Nettleton, tartan taffetas; Miss Betty Cranston, Marina blue crepe suede; Miss Trudie Ausford, black novelty crepe.
