WELLINGTON, Thursday
The City Council to-day rescinded its resolution relating to the estimates for tho current year and approved fresh estimates, which provide for an additional £II,OOO in the contingencies item to meet tho additional costs which follow tho introduction of the 40-hour week and other conditions under the new industrial legislation. The council also approved of rates to yield £530,092 and an increase oi 7-16 d in tho pound
