"BIRDS OF THE NIGHT"
A modernistic revue, "Birds of tho Night," will open a season at His Majesty's Theatre on Monday, interpreted by the capable Hnrt-O'Brian Hevuo Company. Janice Hart and Frank O'Brian, the principals, come to New Zealand with considerable overseas reputations, and seem certain to prove popular in Auckland. Wonderful scenic effects have been arranged for each of tho varied items, and the costumes aro expensive and attractive. Sensational variety acts, dancing and hilarious comedy are included in tho company's repertyiro. There aro 40 artists and over 500 drosses in all, and the scenerv and effects weigh 80 tons. Included in tho items to he given in Auckland are acrobatic turns by tho three Yelescoes, who camo from the Folies Borgore, adagio dancing by the Orlandos, Desiree and Montigue in dancing turns, Dave James, presenting tricks with cigarettes, Vic Sanderson, a juggler of class, the J2 Casino girls, and the Riviera mannequins.
