STEAMER DELAYED

MINOR REPAIRS TO ENGINES ANCHORS IN HAURAKI GULF After leaving for Wellington at five o'clock last evening, the steamer Canadian Britisher anchored in the Hauraki Gulf, outside the Rangitoto Reef, for about two hours to carry out minor repairs to her engines. When the work was completed she left the anchorage at 8.30 p.m. The Canadian Britisher is the last of the Canadian Government fleet of cargo steamers that will visit Auckland under the Auspices of the Canadian National Steamships, as the steamers have been sold to the Montreal-Australia-New Zealand Lino Limited, a company controlled by representatives of the New Zealand Shipping Company, the Eller-nian-Bucknall Lino and the Port Line. The Canadian Britisher is proceeding to Wellington and Australian ports, in continuation of her voyage from Montreal. The vessel will discharge and load in Australia and then return to Auckland about July 8 to complete loading for New York, Boston and Montreal. *
