MEMORIAL TABLET PROPOSED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday A proposal to establish a memorial to commemorate the landing of the 4th Waikato .Regiment at Hamilton on August 24, 1864,. was discussed at the annual meeting of the Old Fourth Waikatos' Association last evening. It was suggested that a tablet should be erected in Memorial Park. It was reported that the Hamilton Borough Council had been approached, but it had roplied stating that the Hamilton Beautifying Society should be consulted beforo any action was taken. It was decided to communicate with the Beautifying Society.
