ARMY RECRUITING CAMPAIGN REPORTS IN SOUTH AFRICA (Received June 4. 6.5 p.m.) CAPETOWN. June 3 The South African Government is investigating reports thstfc an extensive recruiting campaign for the German Army is being actively conducted throughout South-west Africa. The campaign is alleged to be under the direct supervision of the * German Consul, who is said to have written to all young Germans ordering them to present themselves for medical examination by a German doctor, or otherwise be liable to a fine of £l2 or imprisontnent.
