McKay is. in first class condition. and by the date suggested for the match, June 23, he could be in the best of trim for a ten-round contest. _ The Gisborne professional is hopeful of securing a match with Cyril Pluto, the Australian light-weight champion, now fighting in New Zealand, and considers he has a good chance of heating Pluto. McKay s ruggedness is proverbinl in the New Zealand ring, and his chief difficulty is in finding suitable opponents. The Auckland _ Association is believed to be interested in bringing him into the ring with the Australian.
