TEMPERANCE WORK

At the recently held School of Methods, Mrs. Kasper presided over a good attendance of members. The subject of study was "Good Citizenship. A paper on this subject written by the world superintendent was read by Mrs. Williams. A specimen correct agenda was studied, after which five-minute addresses were given—Miss Read speaking on prohibition, Mrs. Joiner and Miss Andrews on peace, Mrs. G. Winstone on purity. Mrs. Hales, in. her address, summarised the three subjects. At a well attended district executive meeting, sixteen unions were represented. Many suggestions were made for the increased success of the work. It was decided to assist with street collecting for the Y.W.C.A. on .June 26 and to have a temperance stall at the Winter Show in July 8 to 18.
