FULL-RINK TOURNAMENT

Following is the result of a full rink tourney held by the Hallyburton-Johnstone Bowling Club:—Section A: Witham (New Lynn). Cnirns (Avondale). 5 wins. Witham won the play-off. Section B: Bishop (Hally-burton-Johnstone), Buckle (Hillsboro). 5 wins. Buckle won the play-off. The final will be decided at a later date.

The meeting unanimously decided that there should be no alteration to the policy of conducting a pairs tournament following the open rinks tourney. TOURNEY AT HILLSBORO Following is the draw for the Hillsboro Bowling Club's two-Saturday tournament which will be commenced next Saturday at I.IJO p.m.Section A: Wannan (Ellerslie). WRIGHT'S TROPHY CONTEST I FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] CAMBRIDGE, Monday The semi-finals of the Wright's trophy handicap singles were played on the Cambridge green on Saturday. J. V. Richards defeated D. Phairn by 28 points to 15. Both players were on a three handicap. Richards then met A. Willis, and conceding him two points, again had a comfortable win. The garnu ended with the score Richards 27. Willis 14. The final will be played next Saturday between Richards and C. W Hooker (scr ).
