MISSIONARIES LOST
PARTY IN BRAZIL ONE KNOWN IN AUCKLAND Three missionaries of the Unevangelised Fields Mission, who left, Para, Brazil, a year ago on a missionary tour up the Xinsu River, a tributary of the Amazon, have not returned to their base and feirs are held for their safety. One of the party, Mr. Frederick Roberts, passed through Auckland 18 months ago. He is accompanied by Messrs. F. Dawson and F. W right, who are believed to have come from England. . . , „ Advice has been received by Mr. KL. Stewart, of Auckland, president oi the North Island council of the mission in New Zealand, that the missionaries left instructions that if nothing were heard of them after six months inquiries should be made as to their whereabouts. Floods had delayed rescue operations.
