DANCE AT WOODHILL
Several trophies won during the past season were presented at a daneo organised by the Tennis Club and held in the Woodhill Hall last Saturday night. The function was also a farewell to Air. and Mrs. Deane and family, who have been supporters of the club since its inception. The president of the club, Mr. J. Mackie, presented a crystal set and reading lamp to Mr. and Mrs. Deane and a crystal powder bowl to Miss E. Deane from the club. Dr. Harris, president of the Kaipara Tennis Association, presented trophies to Miss K. Phillipps,- junior champion, and Messrs. A. Phillips and J. Walters, winners of the handicap doubles. Dr. Harris also presented club trophies to Mr. A. Phillips, handicap singles, and Mrs. J. Pengolly, handicap singles. There was a very large attendance, and the ladies' committee provided the supper.
