■MEET AT PAPATOETOE * Although only one kill was made, the Pakuranga Hunt Club had an enjoyable afternoon's sport on Saturday, when M meet was held from Kelly's Corner. Pauatoetoe. The going was excfellent, and scent was good, although it became slightly patchy toward the end. There was a field of well oyer 100 riders, who were under the control of the master. Mr. H. BullockWebster, and the field, master. Commander D. A. Bingley. Hounds threw off on Mr. S. Ferguson's property, and then worked across to Mr. A. Swaffield's property, where a good strong hare was put up. She circled th« property, and then crossed the read into Colonel R. Wyman's property, and finally on to Mr. J. O. Death's farm. Hounds rattled her back from thereat a smart pace to Mr. Swaffield's property again, where the kill was made. The hunt moved up the hill on Mr. Swaffield's farm, and 1 another good how was put up. Bhe took the field across Mr. P. Wyman's property, and then on- to the farms of Mr. A. B. Stone* and Mrs. W. Clapham, after which the scent was losl on the road. 1 _ : A third hare was put up on anothex farm belonging to Mr. Stonex. but ran into barred country. Hounds rattled hej out of this into Mr. &. Gillard's property, and the line was finally lost after it -haji. led over the properties of Mr. W. Studding! and Mr. A. Sherry. The order for hom« was then given. OPOTIKI DISTRICT MEET [BY telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI. Saturday A meet of the Opotiki Hunt was held to day in splendid weather, although ft fcifft wind was blowing. Eights-two riders, undei the master, Mr. C. T. Clark, ewoyed splendid runs over the Tableland country. No kills were made.
