NEW ZEALAND UNION [BY TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION | WELLINGTON, Wednesday Delegates from both islands are attending tho 20th annual conference of the New Zealand Workers' Union, which was opened in the Trades Hall, Wellington, to-day by the Hon. R. Semple.'Tho conference, which will continue for a week,' will bo the moss important in the history of tho organisation, and will have numerous important matters to deal with concerning the drafting of claims for the many activities it' covers in tho agricultural and pastoral industries. • A greater part of the time to-day was occupied in discussing routine business, and in setting up committees. Tho most important decision reached was that of affiliating with the Labour Party, the decision being made unanimously.
