Mount Eden, on the tzi day of June, 1936, to make and levy rates and fees as follow?: In exercise and pursuance of its Powers under "The Municipal Corporations Act. 5933 " "The Rating Act, 1925. and Amendments. "The Hospital and Charitable Institutions /Act, J926," "The. Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act. 1908, and Amendments, and all other powers and authorities thereunto enabling it in that behalf, the Mount Eden Borough Council hereby makes and levies the following rates and fees. 1. CONSOLIDATED RATE for year commencing on April 1, 1936, and ending on March 31. 1937. A consolidated iate of four shillings and twopence. in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis, of the Annual, value) of' all rateable properties appearing on ?L a Vafflon Roll for the t mo. being of the Borough of Mount Eden in lieu of the following rates:— General rate of 5.246 d in the £. WATER RATE for the year commencing on Jul- 1, 1936, and ending on June 80, 1937. Upon all lands and dwelling houses to which water is supplied but no meter has been installed for the the measurement of the quantity used, where the annual value does not exceed £l2 10s a rate of 10s, where the annual value exceeds £l2 10s a rate of 5 p.c. of such annual value. 8 EXTRAORDINARY SUPPLY .-An extra charge of 5s for each bath is use on such premises and 15s for each water closet 4. In respect of the ordinary supply to buildings other than dwelling houses, and in respect Ol lands and buildings to which water can be but is not supplied, situate within one hundred yards from any part of the Waterworks, one-half of the above water K WATER BY METER.— Upon all lands - and buildings to which water is supplied by meter for ordinary eupply a rate equivalent to Is lid (one shilling and eleven pence) per thousand gallons used but BUch rate to be not les* than £1 10s 8d per annum, such minimum rate of. £1 10b 8d to be paid in advance and the balance of such rate at the time the meter is read, to the Collector appointed by the Council at the Council Valley Road. C SANITATION RATE FOR RUBBISH ' COLLECTION.—A uniform annual sanitation fee of seven shillings and. sixpence C7s 6d) upon all such properties as have a building erected thereon from which the Council is prepared to remove all rubbish, provided that where the rubbish to be removed is excessive in quantity, the fee shall be seven shillings and sixpence (7s Gd) for each rubbish receptacle removed weekly. All the above rates and fees with the exception of the water by meter rate shall be payable//in one. sum on July 18. 1936. to the Collector appointed by the Mount Eden Borough Council at the Council Chambers, Valley Road, Mount Eden. , If any of the above rates remain unpaid at the /expiration of six months and fourteen days from the demand thereof an addi:.i tional charge of ten per centum will be added thereto.
