McCREADY TO MEET SAVAGE One of the finest wrestling bouts of the season should be witnessed at the Town Hall on Monday evening, when the British Empire champion, Earl McCready, will meet Steve Savage, the brilliant American. Two of the_ finest exponents ever to visit the Dominion, they should provide patrons with a first-class display of Bolid and interesting wrestling. McCready is well known to Aucklanders. During his lengthy stay in the Dominion he has had nearly GO matches without suffering a defeat, and in all his contests he has given the spectators excellent value. A Eowerful and speedy exponent, he can make ia wrestling interesting without resorting to the spectacular methods exploited by many other wrestlers. Savage lias an impressive overseas record and during the past several years he has met many of the leading wrestlers in the world. He is recognised as one of the most capable exponents in America and on several occasions he has been spoken of as a potential world's champion. In his recent bout against Oswald he showed Auckland patrons that he lacks little in strength and ability. His wide knowledge of the holds and his excellent ringcraft will make him a difficult proposition for McCready.
