The bout was disappointing. Forsgren gained a submission fall with a Boston crab in the third round, both wrestlers and most of the crowd claiming that the decision of the referee was wrong, because Russell had not submitted. Russell evened in the sixth round, gaining a submission fall with an Indian deathlock.

Wednesday Lofty Blomfield and Joe (Kopach) Woods wrestled before a capacity house and Blomfield was given a points decision after each had secured a fall. Ihe decision was not approved by the majority of the spectators, because Woods," conceding over a stone, was the aggressor most of the time. Woods | pinned the New Zealander 97 seconds after the start of the third round* following a series of flying tackles, and gg{ Blomfield evened in the seventh with a barred toehold. . ;
