MAORI COLLEGE OLD GIRLS
A very pleasant afternoon was spent at the residence of Mrs. Eru Wara, of Kaikohe, on Wednesday, when old girls of the Auckland Queen Victoria Maori College resident in the district, gave a birthday social to the late principal of the college, Miss Brereton, who is now engaged in Maori Mission work in the district. The time was most agreeably spent in games, competitions and music, and during the afternoon a birthday presentation was made to Miss Brereton. In acknowledging the presentation "Miss Brereton expressed her appreciation of the kindly thoughtfulness of the girls in remembering her birthday and exhorted them to live up to the high ideals of their college.
