PENWOMEN'S CLUB

The Penwomen's Club held an anecdote afternoon yesterday, members relating experiences varying from the amusing to the supernatural. Stories were contributed b.v Mrs. Stuart Boyd, Mrs. Carr Rollett, Mrs. Mortimer, Mrs. Bennett, Mrs. Griffiths, Miss F. M. Quill, Miss M. Spicer, Miss E. Sweet, Mrs. J. W. Bailey and Mrs. Osborne. Miss Aphra Henzell rendered several humorous recitations which were much enjoyed. Mrs. Harold King sang the " Poi Song" (her own composition) and " Legend of Hinemoa," composed by Miss Edel Jones. These items were much appreciated.
